Julia joined Sagamore Animal Hospital in August of 2024 as a Technician Assistant, shortly after graduating from the College of Charleston. It was there that she earned a B.S. in Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. While her academic background initially leaned toward marine life, it was during her senior year that Julia discovered her true passion for veterinary medicine—a field that combines her love for animals with her desire to help others.
She is currently working toward applying to veterinary school to further her education and make an even greater impact on the lives of both pets and their owners.
In her free time Julia enjoys running, spending time with her family and friends, or enjoying a nice meal (she would consider herself a foodie). You can also find her serving sushi in downtown Portsmouth at Surf!
Although Julia doesn’t have any pets of her own, the animals belonging to her parents hold a special place in her heart. Her family’s dog, Maverick, and cat, Maggie, are constant sources of joy and love for her. Maggie, in particular, has been a part of Julia's life since elementary school, and has been a great companion for many years.
